Hoy en d\u00eda, un grupo de investigadores del <b>ALF<\/b>\u00a0juegan al aprendiz de brujo intentando generar y controlar filementos de luz l\u00e1ser. Los l\u00e1seres intensos pueden modificar las propiedades \u00f3pticas del los medios en los que se propagan. Una interesante consecuencia es la autofocalizaci\u00f3n, que resulta en la concentraci\u00f3n del haz l\u00e1ser en un estrecho filamento de luz.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Si la intensidad del l\u00e1ser se incremente por encima de un cierto umbral, el filamento se ramifica en filamentos secundarios cuya distribuci\u00f3n espacial depende de las fluctuaciones aleatorias en el perfil del l\u00e1ser incidente. Seg\u00fan el equipo investigador, esta distribuci\u00f3n indeterminada puede controlarse utilizando mezclas de gases como medio de propagaci\u00f3n. En efecto, la modificaci\u00f3n de la composici\u00f3n relativa de los gases de la mezcla permite la creaci\u00f3n de un s\u00f3lo filamento, en lugar de muchos.<\/p>\n<p>B. Alonso, A Zah\u00efr, J.
