{"id":9714,"date":"2024-04-17T12:01:02","date_gmt":"2024-04-17T11:01:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laser.usal.es\/alf\/?p=9714"},"modified":"2024-04-17T12:14:31","modified_gmt":"2024-04-17T11:14:31","slug":"vi-photographic-contest-day-of-light","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laser.usal.es\/alf\/en\/2024\/04\/17\/vi-photographic-contest-day-of-light\/","title":{"rendered":"VI Photographic Contest \u00abDAY OF LIGHT\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"9714\" class=\"elementor elementor-9714\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-40c9594 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"40c9594\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-abee96f\" data-id=\"abee96f\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ed2e87 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8ed2e87\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the occasion of the proclamation of May 16 as the<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/diadelaluz.es\/sobre-el-dil\"> \u00abInternational Day of Light and Light-Based Technologies\u00bb<\/a><\/strong> by the United Nations, the University Master&#8217;s Degree in Physics and Laser Technology announces the VI edition of the \u00abDay of Light\u00bb Photographic Contest.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the organization of the contest and the formation of the jury participate:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/laser.usal.es\/attostructura\/en\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATTOSTRUCTURA<\/a><\/strong> project (financed by the European Innovation Council under the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program of the European Commission under grant agreement ERC 851201).<\/li><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/slsalamancarsef.usal.es\/\">Local Section of Salamanca of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics.<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedoptica.es\/\">Spanish Society of Optics (SEDOPTICA).<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedoptica.es\/Menu_Volumenes\/aboutopa.php\">journal \u00abOptica Pura y Aplicada.\u00bb<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/laser.usal.es\/osal\/es\/inicio\/\">University Association OSAL Student Chapter.<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supernova.usal.es\/\">University Association Supernova.<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/physicsleague.wordpress.com\/\">University Association Physics League.<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The contest is open to undergraduate, master&#8217;s, or doctoral students, faculty, and members of the university community of the University of Salamanca and the University of Valladolid, as well as graduates of the Master&#8217;s Degree in Physics and Laser Technology who are not part of the jury.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The participation period is open until <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>May 31st.<\/strong><\/span> Each participant can submit up to two photographs for each of the established categories:<\/p><ol style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Light Technologies and Optical Phenomena.<\/li><li>The Laser.<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Four prizes will be awarded:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>First prize in the category of Light Technologies and Optical Phenomena: 200 euros.<\/li><li>Second prize in the category of Light Technologies and Optical Phenomena: 100 euros.<\/li><li>First prize in the category of The Laser: 200 euros.<\/li><li>Second prize in the category of The Laser: 100 euros.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, those winners who are undergraduate, master&#8217;s, or doctoral students will receive a one-year free subscription to the Royal Spanish Society of Physics with online access to the Physics Journal.
