{"id":7063,"date":"2023-06-01T11:35:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-01T10:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laser.usal.es\/faslight\/?p=7063"},"modified":"2024-07-25T10:18:40","modified_gmt":"2024-07-25T09:18:40","slug":"launch-of-the-faslight-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laser.usal.es\/faslight\/en\/2023\/06\/01\/launch-of-the-faslight-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Launch of the FASLIGHT network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Research Network <strong>\u00abFundamentals and Applications of Structured Light\u00bb FASLIGHT <\/strong>has already started.<\/p>\n<p>This network has emerged within the framework of the \u00abRedes de Investigaci\u00f3n\u00bb call within the framework of the Programa Estatal para Impulsar la Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfico-T\u00e9cnica y su Transferencia, del Plan Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica, T\u00e9cnica y de Innovaci\u00f3n 2021-2023. The action will last 2 years, starting in June 2023 and has received \u20ac20,300 in funding from the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n and the Agencia Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The objective of the FASLIGHT network is to create a Spanish structured light network, uniting scientific groups with diverse experience in fundamental and applied physics, but with common points in the use of structured light. For this it is intended:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish a collaboration framework beyond the already existing bilateral collaborations under the umbrella of structured light, in which research groups from various fields of specialization can share their work, discuss novel ideas and promote new collaborations.<\/li>\n<li>Activate new collaborations between Spanish groups that make use of structured light and explore potential collaborations between distant research fields.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the international visibility of Spanish groups that work within the framework of structured light.<\/li>\n<li>Motivate future project proposals, including European funds such as Marie Curie ITN, PATHFINDER, etc., and national and regional funds.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the use of structured light as a key transformative technology in Spain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The FASLIGHT network is made up of the following 15 nodes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Grupo de Aplicaciones del L\u00e1ser y Fot\u00f3nica, represented by Luis Plaja Rustein, from the Universidad de Salamanca (USAL).<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.es\/otri\/buscador-de-oct\/CAPACIDADES\/OCT-Intertech-definitiva.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Estructuras fot\u00f3nicas no lineales<\/a><\/strong>, represented by Albert Ferrando, from the Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia (UV).<\/li>\n<li>Engineering physics group, represented by \u00c1ngel Paredes, from the Universidad de Vigo (UVigo).<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/picongroup.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Attosecond and ultrafast x-ray optics (AUXO)<\/a><\/strong>, represented by Antonio Pic\u00f3n, from the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid (AUM)<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/es\/web\/appliedphotonicsbilbao\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grupo de Fot\u00f3nica Aplicada \/ Applied Photonics Group<\/a><\/strong>, represented by David Novoa from the Universidad del Pa\u00eds Vasco (UPV\/EHU).<\/li>\n<li>Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n de \u00d3ptica (GROC-UJI), represented by Enrique Tajahuerce, from the Universitat Jaume I (UJI).<\/li>\n<li>Grupo de investigaci\u00f3n en luz estructurada de la Universidad de Zaragoza, represented by Francisco Javier Salgado Remacha, from the Universidad de Zaragoza (UZ)<\/li>\n<li>Quantum Nanophotonics Laboratory, represented by Gabriel Molina Terriza, from the Materials Physics Center.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tecnopto.umh.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grupo de Tecnolog\u00eda \u00d3ptica y Optoelectr\u00f3nica &#8211; TecnOpto-UMH,<\/a><\/strong> represented by Ignacio Moreno, from the Universidad Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez de Elche (UMH)<\/li>\n<li>Grupo de luz estructurada UCM: Control espacial\/temporal de haces l\u00e1ser continuo\/pulsado y sus aplicaciones, represented by Jose A.
